The main differences between a hotel and a Japanese hotel.
/Hotel.
- The number of guest rooms are more than ten rooms.
- The building construction of foreign style, equipment.
- A guest room is a European-style room which it has carpeted. - More than one person per room.
- Bedding is a thing of foreign style.
- Foreign style bathroom. - The yes or no of a meal can be chosen.

 

/Ryokan(Japanese hotel)
- The number of guest rooms are more than five rooms.
- The building construction of a Japanese style, equipment.
- A guest room is a Japanese-style room which it has covered with the tatami.
- They are two or more persons per room as a general rule.
- Bedding is a thing of a Japanese style.
- A Japanese style bathroom or a public bathroom.
- Loungewear has prepared the yukata. A visitor wears a yukata, and can walk inside hotel.
- Generally set rates one night and with 2 meals.
* Japanese hotels include a sightseeing hotel, a ryokan with a hot spring, the hotel in front of a station, etc.
