Hama-Rikyu Gardens is a garden of the Tokugawa family built to the Edo period by Tokugawa shoguns. It have about 360 years of history. There is a pond containing tide. The style which changes the attractive point to a pond using which the ebb and flow of the tide empties and fills a pond. Moreover, there is a wild duck preserve for falconry. There are four tea stores in a garden and they were making to have a meal, enjoying a scene or to appreciate furniture and the rest space in the case of falconry.

It is one of the stroll gardens which still remains. It is a stroll garden centering on a typical pond and spring, allocation of a tree and a stone is the highest. When the Okubo Tadaasa, who is a senior shogunal councilor, built a mansion in 1678, he summoned the gardener from local and carried out gardening.
