”Kimono” is a kind of traditional Japanese clothing.
Mainly, we wear for traditional events or for celebrations. Collegial graduation ceremony, coming-of-age ceremony, and marriage ceremony. We wear kimono on formal occasious.
In the past, we wore Kimono every day.
Else, We wear "Yukata", a kind of Kimono, to the fireworks display and festival of summer.

There are many kinds of kimonos. Woman is to wear the kimono corresponding to age and a place.

1. "Furisode”kimono is a kimono which an unmarried woman wears. It is a kimono with a long sleeve. Women wear at a marriage ceremony etc.

2. "Homon-gi" kimono is the semiformal dress which we wear for tea ceremony parties and other parties, and a "Eba" pattern is the characteristic. The "Eba" pattern is that the pattern of the Kimono is sewn so that it may continue.

3. "Tsuke-sage" kimono does not have the "Eba" pattern and family crest, which simplifies a "homon-gi" kimono. It is an intermediately of forma dress and everyday wear.

4. "Yukata" kimono is the informal dress, it is everyday wear which We wear when it is hot. The cloth is made of cotton and washing is easy. "Yukata" is placed in the Japanese hotel, etc.

5. ”Tome-sode” kimono is woman formal dress, which is the highest social status in the kimono. The family crest adheres and the classical pattern is drawn around the bottom of a kimono. A black color is called black Tome-sode kimono, and is considered as the married woman's formal dress. Black color tome-sode kimono is the highest social status in a kimono.
